In the history of the automotive industry, we witnessed various stunning, beautiful vehicles. However, we also acknowledge many terrible car designs. In fact, which car is the ugliest car is still an answer that we cannot have. The reason for this is that there are so many.
The list can go on and on, yet we will gather here our top 7 ugliest cars ever made.
Top 7 Ugliest Cars Ever Made
Crosley CC
Crosley was a popular brand during the gas rationing of World War II due to its miniature cars. When the war was over, they released a new car in 1946 called Crosley CC. Of course, this was their first production automobile, and we can surely tell. With no running boards and was designed slab-sided, this car is by far one of the ugliest automobiles ever created.
If you ever mistake this car for a toy, it is totally understandable due to its undersized wheels and squashed visage. There is a stamped-steel overhead camshaft engine under the hood cover which is shaped like the toilet-seat. Not only is it ugle, it is always troublesome when it comes to fixing and maintenance.
Stout Scarab
In 1932, the world’s first minivan was created. The Stout Scarab was the first aluminum unibody car, and probably the ugliest one at that time. With the shape of the oddball comes courtesy of a rear-mounted Ford V-8, along with a wide body lacking running boards, we can see why.
Even though the Stout Scarab has various innovative features, it still has one of the most ridiculous exteriors. Maybe that is the reason why only nine models were built.
Lincoln Continental
The next car we have in the list is the 1958 Lincoln Continental. This car has canted headlights, concave treatment given to the front fenders, along with near-vertical body sides. Yeah, the Lincoln Continental is a large car, yet it gives an impression of taking up too much space.

On the bright side, after many negative reviews for the 1958 model, Lincoln changed the design in 1959 and 1960 models. And after that, we have a 1961 model as one of the most beautiful vehicles ever made.
Allard P2 Safari
In the year of 1951, we welcomed another ugly design: Allard P2 Safari. If you think England is not crazy enough, wait till you see the combination of grafting the front of a sports vehicle and the woody wagon’s back.
The British carmaker Allard made this idea come to life, and we have the Allard P2 Safari. According to Jamaicars.com, only five of 13 productions made by this brand are known to exist till today, and this automobile is one of them.
Subaru 360
The list of the ugliest cars ever made cannot be completed without the 1958 Subaru 360. In the year of 1958, the Subaru must meet all the strict requirements from Japanese Kei Car rules. Not only did it limit the engine size and dimensions, it also reduced the creativity. With the 50’s and 60s models, the exteriors are amazing.
However, the Subaru 360 is, without the doubt, one of the ugliest cars ever created. Even with its popularity in African countries, Subaru cannot save the 360 model from all the hate. So if you are looking for used cars in Jamaica, please consider carefully.
Ford Thunderbird
Last but certainly not least, we have the Ford Thunderbird. 1958 was a bad year for both styling and design at FoMoCo, and the Thunderbird was the most obvious proof. With a two-seat roadster that was free of chrome gew-gaws, the Thunderbird of 1955 was a terrible idea. The brand wanted to change this and decided to update it.
To be more specific, they changed the original with an over-adorned, oversized and four-seat schlock mobile. And with the sales over the next few years, we knew this upgrade was horrible. Fortunately, the third and fourth generation of Thunderbirds were a decent change. They were actually pretty vehicles. However, the 1958 Thunderbird is still one of the most hated cars of Ford.
